Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority

The new RMTA Board was created by enabling legislation passed in 2019, which called for transiting the 5-member, appointed Transit Authority of the City of Omaha to a 7-member, elected Authority with the potential to broaden transit service regionally.

District 4 encompasses much of south-central Omaha, roughly from I-680 / I-80 on the west, W Dodge Rd on the north, 42nd St on the east, and Omaha city limits (Harrison St) on the south, minus areas including UNMC, Morton Meadows, Elmwood Park, and UNO's Dodge Campus.

This momentum – combined with the creative, entrepreneurial spirit of Omahans across the city – promises to keep our region’s forward motion.
